1. Well, this does seem good. Sort of.
The letter states:

"Recommendation 1: That the State Board of Elections refer the Diebold AccuVote-TS voting unit and the AccuBasic source code to the Independent Testing Authority and also to an independent qualified security expert to determine whether existing security flaws can be mitigated."

WTF good will that do? Give us another report that says the equipment is hackable so take two aspirins and call me after the election?


Will anyone have the guts to send Diebold (and the others) back to the ITA EXPRESSLY for the purpose of ascertaining if the equipment MEETS the 2002 VVSG.

Is that too much to ask? :shrug:
