To say people that had just voted against Bush, would misreport that they voted for him in the last election, makes no sense to me (bandwagon effect is about being with the winners, not being with the guy you just voted against).
Top that off with no people who had just voted for Bush, would misreport voting Gore in the last election makes it harder to buy.
Memory problems work both least in a non-Bizarro universe. 8)

How bout Bush voters who didn't vote 2000 claiming they did, but no Kerry voters who didn't vote in 2000 claimed they did.
Again, it really doesn't make sense.

TIA's argument seems far more compelling than yours, IMHO.
