They say that the 6.5% WPE is due to the reluctant Bush responder.
Could be.

It could have also been reluctant Bush 2000 voters who voted for Kerry this time. And didn't want anyone to know.

Or reluctant Kerry voters who had to rush home to take a crap.
Or reluctant Kerry voters whose spouse was waiting in the car.
Or reluctant Bush voters who felt extreme guilt.

It could have a combination of all these things.
But not just ONE of them. This was a BIG poll, so BIG that over 73,000 responded in in the states, 13000 in the National Exit Poll sub-sample.

To assume that the 47-50% who didn't respond were reluctant Bush voters is a slap in the face of anyone who knows how to tie a shoelace.

THE RATIONAL HYPOTHESIS, THE ONE THAT MAKES SENSE INTUITIVELY AND FACTUALLY, IS THAT SINCE KERRY WON 53% OF THE 53% WHO RESPONDED, HE ALSO WON 53% OF THOSE WHO DIDN'T.

AND GUESS WHAT: KERRY ENDS UP WITH THE SAME 53%.

CONSIDERING THAT KERRY WON 57-60% OF NEW VOTERS, 70% OF NADER VOTERS 60-70% OF UNDECIDED AND AT LEAST 95% OF FORMER GORE VOTERS, THAT'S NOT TOO HARD TO SWALLOW, IS IT?

AND WHAT ABOUT THOSE DEMOCRATS WHOSE VOTES WERE SPOILED? THERE WERE A LOT MORE OF THEM THAN THERE WERE RELUCTANT BUSH RESPONDERS.

This "reluctance" canard is all bullshit.
Another major, major diversion by professional liars.

The bigger the lie, the more outrageous the excuse, the more likely it is to have credence among non-thinkers, neocons and Mitofsky shills. And DINOS.

It's no different than Iraqi WMD. We have the Iraq smoking gun memo, but even that's not enough.
Nothing ever is.

Mark Twain, Sinclair Lewis and George Orwell and Abraham Lincoln and Dwight Eisenhower were right. Its Fascism.
