55.  You seem new to politics. This was a
"political " decision. Barbara Boxer did not want anyone to stand up with her. She only volunteered as she has a safe seat. She didn't want to jeopardize and Senate seats that were up for reelection. Kerry could not have contested. It would appear to "self serving".

Everyone knew they couldn't overturn the election. Even if they had hard evidence which they didn't , they didn't have the votes. It just would not have happened. We were very lucky to get what we did! We at least made a statement. Kerry also made a statement and put it in the Congressional Record.

Kerry could not have done anything else. We did not have enough time to gather evidence. The repugs are very good at running the clock and that is what they did . If we were able to get hard evidence from inside the voting machines, it might have been a different story. But that hasn't even been ruled on yet! And even if they find it , it is too late. Bush was certified. There is NOTHING anyone can do.
We can only work to make sure this doesn't happen again, and Kerry gives every indication of doing just that!
