54. Why I am hopeful
I am hopeful because the Senators who intend, or who may intend, to contest the electors are apparently holding their cards close to their chests until tomorrow morning, as William Pitt reported regarding Sen. Boxer.

People like Nelson, Kennedy and Leahy have already announced their positions. It's a nice safe move for them, no harm can come except from people like us, who of course don't count very much.

The Senators who "haven't decided yet", i.e., haven't announced yet, give me the hope I hold on it.
