137. Nervous and angry, lost some buddies
I used to have more Repub friends, used to be one myself about 10 years ago when I was still young and impressionable. Wised up a bit and started leaning Green and Dem in about 96 when the pugs started in on the Clenis bit, about which mattered not, the man was doing a damn fine job and JFK and FDR were both a lot worse.

Buds and I were moderates, mostly, but there were a few who turned neo-con and started talking about who we needed to go to war with next early October. They all turned yellow when I suggested they sign up with the Army if they were serious, started talking about "other" priorities. I informed them politely that they were chickenshits, without the moral capital to back up their mouths, and left them to their rabid lunacy.

More recently, I've been depressed and agitated, especially since about 8pm Nov 2nd when I saw things get really twisted, and its been getting worse, even though DU has helped a bit. I fear the light in Lady Liberty's torch is growing dim, and my eyes will be dazzled if realization ever dawns on these RW nutjobs in this state.

The job situation has been making it worse, because I work with some neo-con nutjobs who listen to Republican Commercials all damn day, and the CEO sent out this email about how if you voted for Kerry you were undermining democracy. Looking for another IT job now, because I can't stand having to fix a computer for some doofus listening to Rush-Lax, and its going to really hurt this company when I go but I couldn't care less; after that email I almost flat out quit but I had to save up cash for getting one semester closer to Canada.

Much love, all you guys, I hope some of you can find it in your hearts to love this place for what it was. After studying the Inquisition and the Holocaust for years, I see what it is likely to become.
I don't think that justice is going to be coming out of Congress or anywhere else these neo-con freaks have infiltrated their Fifth Column Occupation forces aka FOX news. Especially after the next distraction I'm certain BushCo is planning on to "unite" us.

Peace?
