83.  I AM OVERWHELMED! This simple idea has really grown.
Thank you all for the links you saved hours of work! I think this is the point we are at:

1.) We need to decide who this "letter" should come from.
...Would Democratic Underground wish to sponsor it?
...Should any public figures in the cause be asked to sponsor it?
...Should it just be signed with a group of names?

2.) We need to decide whether a letter, press release or both format would be best. Here is what I came up with after some sleep.
...A press release is more professional and easy to use for a journalist.
...A letter is a more personal plea for help.
...Both, could cover both bases.
...My personal thoughts are that what separates the 2 are the press release offers the journalist instant information and an instant story while a letter asks for the journalist IF WILLING TO HELP to look at the links and develop their own story. I was coming from this place when I originally wrote the letter.

3.) Should we use take advantage of the generous offer to use an "email blaster" or each individual send out different batches of the material.

Did I miss anything? Maybe we can use this for an outline?
Where do we go from here? Like I said, I'm overwhelmed.
