David Van Os made a whistlestop tour of the Victoria area courthouses yesterday, August 9, 2006, and received some favorable press along the way.

Heres the press report:
Democratic candidate David Van Os vowed to fight to take Texas back for the people if he is elected Texas attorney general in the November election.

Van Os said that like Harry Truman, who won by a landslide in spite of naysayers, he is taking his message to the people by traveling to each of the state's 254 counties. The message, in part, is that he will use the office to eliminate corruption in government, fight to stop the Trans-Texas Corridor and go after big insurance and big oil.

"I say it and I mean it. When I get sworn in next January, I'm going after the big oil companies. Within one month, I will send investigative subpoenas to big oil company CEOs. The state's antitrust laws are there and they are strong." http://www.thevictoriaadvocate.com/elections/2006_primary/story/3629479p-4195909c.html
