15 Occupy Salem protesters receive written warnings

Oregon State Police troopers handed out written warnings to people with Occupy Salem at 10 p.m. Tuesday when Willson Park closed.

The warnings were handed out to protesters who planned to stay overnight.

Chris Havel, spokesman of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, said 15 written warnings were issued.

He said if those people continue to violate park rules, they are at risk of arrest on a criminal trespass charge ...
