It really helps them to identify areas of low voter turnout, so they can send people out to try to "flush out" Dem voters. Turnout looks VERY GOOD in my precinct, which is heavily Dem. When you run the ballot through the scan machine, you should see a LCD with the actual vote count. When you run your ballot thru, make sure it increments by 1+.
