I don't think Congressional GOPers are gonna make many appearances at first-come-first-seated town halls held in public buildings this year. IMHO, Walberg is now using the new GOPer-recommended technique.

Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Tipton, answered questions Thursday at a meeting of the Lenawee 9.12 Forum at Lenawee Christian School. About 130 people attended the meeting.

Walberg criticized President Obama for his approach to defending Israel, saying Obama, doesnt get it.

Invoking what he called biblical history and imperative, Walberg said, I want Gods blessing on this country and that blessing thats on Israel as Gods chosen people will be carried out to this country as well. Thats not religious, thats historical and I will stand with that, Walberg said.

Responding to two questioners who brought up the issue of Obamas birth place, Walberg did not tell the questioners that the issue had been settled by Obama when he released his birth certificate in April.

Regardless of whether the license that he showed is true or fake, Ive not seen it other than what was portrayed in the news. The House is controlled by the majority party being the Republicans, the Senate by the Democrats, the attorney general by the Democrats. Thats the answer. One and a half years. One and a half years. Thats when we do the do-over, Walberg said.

He also said, though I would like to have that question finally answered as much as anybody else, yet it takes my eye off the ball of all that I have to do. Walberg said he had made a priority decision to concentrate on the budget and policy to make a long-term difference for this country in a positive way.
