Recall Timeline:

1. We cannot submit recall language to the Secretary of State until Snyder has served 6 months. That means Friday, July 1, 2011.

2. Decide upon the language to be used on the recall petition and the 200 word synopsis of that language that would actually appear on the ballot.

3. The proposed language must be submitted for a clarity hearing by the County Election Commission in the county were Snyder resides.

4. Once the language has been approved and the 6 months provision has been met (and only then) we can start collecting signatures.

5. The law allows 90 days to collect signatures, but if we want to be on the November ballot all petitions must be filed in one big batch with the Secretary of State no later than August 5, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. so we need to have all completed petition sheets at headquarters before that time.

6. The campaign begins in earnest - but assume we will already be under assault by that time.

7. Election day - we MUST have a highly organized and very effective effort to get EVERY VOTER to the polls.

8. According the Michigan's constitution, if the governor is removed from office by the recall, the order of succession kicks in - the Lt. Governor becomes Governor for the rest of the original term. That does not apply to the Senators and Representatives. Those replacements are handled differently.

NOTE: On election day - we MUST have a highly organized and very effective effort to get EVERY VOTER to the polls. This includes those we think will vote for the recall AND even those we think may vote against it. We win if there are more people at the polls. A low turnout probably means we lose. This also means that every person who feels strongly about the recall should schedule vacation time for November 7th and 8th. We will need LOTS of boots on the ground to overcome the financial disadvantage we will face on the air
