I've been here for 26 years. Tried to leave twice, neither attempt lasted more than ten months.

I believe Alaska is a special case. Look at the Olympics--most Americans wave American flags; Alaska Americans wave Alaska flags.

My one concern is that our oil, in the absence of stable supplies from elsewhere, will become more valuable.
