16. OK, here's my question for you
First I want to address "RW crap". I have voted straight Democratic ticket in every single election since 1980. Every primary. Every local race. Every special race. I have NEVER not voted for the Democrat and yet here we have Creigh Deeds having me consider it for the first time in 30 years.

Here is my question - What POSSIBLE reason could Creigh Deeds have for saying he would consider opting out of a public option? The public option is supposed to bring increased choice and competition and to ultimately lower prices. What does Creigh Deeds have against that? Virginia is a hotbed of "government run" healthcare - would he consider opting out of the VA hospitals that dot our landscape? Medicare? Medicaid? Then why the public option in national healthcare reform? Seriously, what is his stated reason?

I think his only reason can be to blur the line between him and his Republican opponent. Someone who can not stand up for what is the obviously correct choice in both a common sense manner and a fiscal manner because they are afraid of alienating potential moderate/reactionary/uninformed voters is not much of a leader or a thinker in my opinion.

I'm supposed to vote for him and hope he is just being a charleton in order to get moderate Republican votes and will turn out to do the right thing in the long run? And if he doesn't, well at least I knew what I was getting in the first place? He makes no sense to me. I see it being analogous to being a resident of Montana trying to decide if I wanted to re-elect Baucus. I KNOW I would not cast a vote for him (Baucus).

Healthcare is a very seminal issue in determing who is for the people and who is not for the people.
