Kansas: Burr, McCain Headline Money Events for Moran

Rep. Jerry Moran (R) is getting some fundraising help from some of his would-be Senate colleagues this month.

Sens. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) will headline fundraisers for Moran, who is facing Rep. Todd Tiahrt in the GOP primary for retiring Sen. Sam Brownback’s (R) seat next August.

McCain will be the special guest at a fundraiser for Moran on Sept. 22 in Washington, D.C., according to a copy of the event information obtained by Roll Call. Burr will be the guest host at a fundraising breakfast in Washington later this week.

Additionally, Moran’s campaign also announced that Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) has endorsed him in the primary. DeMint already co-hosted a fundraiser for Moran earlier this year.
