103. The First Ladies Club...
I think they all stick together when it comes to the "press corps" which is gunning for them from day one. No matter what the political reality of their husbands, they are usually the ones the press corps goes after simply because they are easier targets. They all are baptized by bonfire. And often it is the bonfire of the vanities.

Nancy Reagan was crucified because she preferred couture and Hillary Clinton was then crucified because she didn't. Seems no matter what they wear, there's a criticism in the media. Michelle Obama seems to have gotten it from both ends whether she wears J Crew or Lanvin.

Michelle Obama made a harmless comment that was blown out of context and then blown out of proportion.

Nancy Reagan did the same thing and while everyone laughed over her "itty bitty gun that fires itty bitty bullets" comment the reality is her commment was also taken out of context and blown out of proportion.

First Ladies aren't elected to the job. They seem instead to be doomed to the job.
