In Defense of Career politicians

And there's a lot to defend. Deciding that you want to spend your life in elected politics does not, de facto, make one a self-serving, greedy, corrupt person. I think the best defense though, is an example of some career politicians who are not self-serving, greedy and corrupt.

Dennis Kucinich
Bernie Sanders
Pat Leahy
Russ Feingold
Teddy Kennedy
Sherrod Brown

Here's an example of someone who is not a career politician:

Nancy Pelosi.
