21. Rahm, Ron-- so what?
There are guys dying in Iraq and Afghanistan for your rights. The issue is not Rahm or than he is called "Ron" by many in Congress. And, though he was not, what does it matter that he never served in the Israeli Army? First, if he goes there on a visit he is vulnerable to immediate conscription. Secondly, he is an impeccably devoted man to truth and freedom in America-- his Orthodox Jewish cultural background forces him to so advocate for his American children's future as well as for all of us. HE IS A GREAT CHOICE and his ties to Israel are as relevant as mine to Romania. It is roots, but the US is for both of us, our AMERICAN children's future.

EJ Dionne brilliantly characterized the Bush era: A LONG VACATION FROM COMPLEXITY. That is also how Dem politicos lied and cheated when confronted with the New Left. As Dems, we all have to decide if we will be different, serious, responsible and complex. I don't think posting on DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND is like "texting" crap on your cell phone. It is especially important to be vigilant while others are VOLUNTARILY dying for your freedom and security-- at least that's why many volunteered. Yet we Dems won on the economy as if those poor suckers don't exist. McCain, at least, whether he meant it or not, put forward in his campaign those who live and die for US, the US...Emanuel, I can assure you, accepted the self-destructive job of Chief-of-Staff, in deference to these heroes in the field. Can you pleas at least communicate with some seriousness, please.

My joy is, I confess, learning all I can about what's new in molecular biology, where our survival will lie. This hunt-and-peck crap is not it. So please don't degrade my seriousness with triviality, not for my sake but for yours. Thank you.

P.S. Joe the Plummer was twice on welfare...perhaps that shows you how wedded to lies are politicos....Be weary, be serious, be free!
