458. I'm all for hitting then - and hitting them hard
but this just won't work.

The media is not on our side. McCain has always been their man. They love him. And houses or not - it just won't matter. This will be seen as a slam on his being a POW and any PTSD issues he faces as a result of it. This will build greater sympathy for him. Right now one of Obama's advantages remains that he is seen as running the cleaner campaign. And yes, regardless of the hit he's taken in the polls, that is still an advantage.

"After all did you know that McCain was a POW? And apparently he was affected by the captor's keys jangling. He's a hero. "

That's that. Look, the Dems are at a disadvantage on this military/national security thing from the start. Why? Because, for the most part Americans are uninformed and love bluster and saber rattling. The media keeps this going too. And after we've seen the petty theatrics from the GOP I want the adults back in charge. These are serious times and people already question Obama's "experience". Well, people need to know he's a serious candidate ready to tackle the issues. Jangling keys doesn't do that. Sure, a few may be reminded by McCain's wealth, but then again we did run our own multi million dollar candidate (as a result of marriage) - I'm not saying the two (Kerry and McCain) are similar, but most people believe most politicians are rich anyways. We can get some mileage from this, but only a limited amount.
