It is time at this point in history for authentic progressives to confront the original forms, in a collective and serious manner, jettisoning the classical formulation of flagships that, like Lucy and the Football, simply NEVER work (not for the Kennedy assassinations, not for the Lennons facing assassination, not for eggplant-tennis-anyone, not for authentic progressives being systematically suppressed from effective mobilization, not for unblacklisting blacklisted issues or strategies (like a door to door group canvassing across the US against the Iraq War, or for that matter to end absolute poverty ("world hunger"))

Yes, of course, whenever some token concessions are in the pipeline, they are dribbled out specifically to those 'golden boys' who "played by the rules", with rule #1: NO EFFECTIVE AUTHENTIC PROGRESSIVE POLITICS
