if Gallup and Rasmussen are any indication, Stephanapolous' mission to smear Barack Obama had some impact, but Obama is still going to be the nominee. The Democratic party got a small - just the smallest - taste of the power of Obama's base to raise havoc over the cynical, lowest common denominator politics that we saw in the debate. If the party should somehow try to let those politics prevail over the will of the pledged delegates- then we'll see you in Denver guys. But I'm confident that they can read the writing on the well as well as I can.

And as for George Stephanopalous- no doubt he will try to slink away in the night like the coward he is, thinking his work is done. "Does Reverand Wright love America as much as you do?" will no doubt go down in history as one of the most pathetic, loaded, and despicable pieces of soundbite-bait in debate history. I am shocked that someone who professes to be of a progressive background could come up with a question like that.
