326. To vote against reasonable funding of the troops
in the field is to give this election to McCain and to reinforce the perception that we as a party when the rubber meets the road just can not be trusted to protect the nation.

Will not be true BUT, perception is reality more times then we care to count:

To illustrate: Many serious progressives believe and would have others believe that Row V Wade is widely popular, that is the perception they believe. The reality is over 70% percent of the nation accepts it as law but has misgivings about it. Not exactly the same thing.

we need to to quit belittling those we disagree with and try a little dialog. Barack gets this, Hillary and Bill never have and never will.

Dialog with some who might be persuaded to agree with us on some or quite a few issues, what a concept. Hey it is like chicken soup,it could not hurt.
