A campaign has to push one storyline at a time otherwise they're doing themselves more harm than good. That week was all about "PA gets to know Barack".

Hoffa is currently in PA campaigning for Barack.

The unions are after Penn's head.

You have to admit that this flows into that storyline nicely.

The timing sets it up to be the perfect rally/town hall subject when Barack returns to PA next week. "Barack fights against old politics for workers in PA".

That's the election week storyline.
