I got this from the article so it's a fair assessment when you go by the text of the article...

"Durbin is touting four former Kerry primary foes for the No. 2 slot on the Democratic ticket, especially retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark of Arkansas."

That to me says he favors Clark.

I don't see the issue here.
