11. I agree, jhuth, that a rational discussion on DU is sorely lacking these days
The daily infiltration of news sources such as Fox News and such has degraded the level of discourse.

On a related note, regardless of the outcome of this unprecedented election, people will be examining the racial (and sexist) aspects of this Primary (and General) for years to come. Electing a black man or a woman as POTUS rehashes much of what the status quo of American white male dominated politics and social structures have been avoiding for so long.
