You Can’t Handle the Truth...

So, let us just wrap up it all up in cotton and rainbows. Obama has not been hurt by these racial tirades of his pastor. In fact, there could be a backlash. It could actually help him in the next election. He may win PA by double digits?

The majority of Americans will not be persuaded one way or the other by the comments of Reverend Wright. America has progressed beyond the point where those types of attacks will work any more. This will hurt Hillary more than it will hurt Obama.

Obama will continue to win the most delegates and the popular vote. He will go into Denver on a high note. Once he announces his running mate, the Party will unite behind him. Hillary will give a speech calling for the Party to unite.

The Republicans will not be effective in their attacks upon Barack Obama. The situation in Iraq will be in disarray. The American people will be more concerned about the economy than about the personal attacks from the Republican Party. As Congressman Tom Davis (R-VA) said the other day, paraphrasing, "If the Republican brand were dog food, it would be taken off the shelf".
