Unfortunately, the US has become a nation where reason, context, and discussion has been replaced by sound bites and black & white (non)thinking. And people wonder how an idiot like bush* was able to get enough votes to make both sElections close. I think I'll re-read The Assault On Reason to keep my head from exploding.
