Don't run away from the statement; that's a flip-flop in Repub eyes. Enbrace it and tie it to Dubya's claim that America is safer. The story line would be something like this:

How can the President say that he's made America safer when he has alienated America's strongest allies, both the traditional allies and important allies in the war against terror? A strong America depends on strong relationships with our allies.
