We lost the war because we weren't allowed to fight it. It was the war protesters fault we quit. That friction is always there in the boomer generation. I thought John Kerry knew that, and would have figured out a way to bridge that gap.

It's also what Obama is talking about when he says it's time to put the fights of the 60's behind us. The entire future cannot be based on a ten year period of history.
