2. Lafer's analysis is...well...laughable
Despite all the noise being made, espcially now, the labor movement is yet to adequately address the concept "If a union can not win a secret ballot, it should not be recognized".

It also means that unions are not showing their value to the workers, something that will continue to grow in the future, given the employment patterns of Gen-X and Gen-Y workers. With that group, certain union norms such as seniority and defined benefit pensions will continue to work against organizing efforts in the future.
