26. Ned Lamont sent an e-mail to garner support for this bill-
It read, in part:

Chris was helpful to our campaign during the general election, and he is courageously addressing a range of serious issues in the Senate, including taking the lead in forcing a real change in strategy in Iraq.

This legislation is a chance for the Senate to start asserting our true American values again by unequivocally rejecting the gravely mistaken Administration policies on detainee treatment - policies which have only made us less safe.

Please join Sen. Dodd - along with co-sponsors Sen. Menendez (D-NJ), Sen. Leahy (D-VT), and Sen. Feingold (D-WI) - and consider becoming a citizen co-sponsor of the "Restoring the Constitution Act of 2007":

And let your representatives who voted for the Military Commissions Act know that you expect more from them.

Thanks,

Ned
