Please note that filing a frivilous lawsuit and/or making baseless accusations is also illegal here in Texas (everywhere?).

So if DeLay is SO certain Earle is making baseless accusations for partisan gain, then he has every right to counter sue... even against a State Prosecutor. Yet he doesn't. Why? Because he knows it would never hold up, and would drag the case out longer, whereas he wants to get it behind him as quickly as possible.
