52. Democrats Keep Losing, Why Be Afraid of Dean?
While I agree Dean should tone it down sometimes ("disagree with everything the Reoublicans stand for" or "completely disagree" would have made the point a little more stylishly although not as memorably), I believe he may be the only person with the guts to create a clear strategy for the Democrats that doesn't hedge on every issue. I was talking with someone recently and we thought the perfect Democratic candidate would be Howard Dean's strategy and ideas in the background, being delivered by John Edwards. Dean's got the ideas and strategy, but he's too blunt. John Edwards could say the same things while killing them with kindness. (Nothin against John Edwards own ideas, by the way, just commenting on his ability to connect in a positive way.)
