Trippi shaped a lot of that campaign. Anything internet releated I believe was Trippi's idea to impliment on the campaign. So I don't think it's fair to say that Dean was the campaign and that's all. Trippi had a lot to do with making that campaign what it was.

I think what really happened was that Dean and Kate O' Connor never trusted Trippi enough to let him be a part of the "inner circle". I'd advise everyone to read Trippi's book "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" it really gives you a lot of information on that campaign as well as the future.
