Is this too good to be true? Could he be the first hypocrite to go down under the new morality? Or is he too slippery, like lube? I hate this pile of "anal sludge". (Goggle "Santorum" for reference to sludge/lube-yuk)

If we can get a democratic prosecutor to subpoena his records he could be in for some big trouble.

Some things to consider off the top of my head:

1). He most likely had to sign an affidavit for his homeowners property tax exemption that he admits receiving on the Pen Hills, Pa. property: PERJURY.

2). The Pen Hills school tuition reimbursement: clearly FRAUD. I'm sure he had to sign some sort of affidavit for this reimbursement: PERJURY.

3). If he has fraudulently written off the Pennsylvania address as his primary residence on his federal returns: FRAUD/PERJURY/Filling false tax returns. Or, if he is really greedy, he may have written off the larger mortgage/property taxes on the larger Va. home as the primary residence since the tax savings would be more significant. Then, he would be totally screwed if his documents conflict each other.

Given the fairly large sums of money are involved in the Penn Hills school district, it shouldn't be that hard to get the ball rolling with an investigation and subpoena his records to determine if he did in fact use the Leesburg, Va. address as his primary residence. It's not unprecedented for a municipality or school district to ask to see federal returns for property tax exemption and tuition investigations. I assume he is dropping the subject so fast and offering to return the money because he doesn't have his ducks in a row. Well, the law is the law and saying "do over" doesn't cut the mustard in our new ultra moral society. We need an investigation.

They need to start with the "actual" residents of the Penn Hills home and get them on record under oath. Next, they need to move on to his records(travel/credit cards) to try to place him where he and his children were on certain dates. Logs of when and where the kids signed on to the cyber school could be, I assume, fairly easy to determine.

It's hard to believe that someone in his position is stupid enough to pull this stunt but look at Carol Mosley Braun(pocketed mother's inheritance money when it should have gone to reimburse Illinois for nursing home fees) and Dan Rostenkowski (misappropriated stamps and went to the slammer). These are only a few examples off the top of my head from memory.

Santorum says he will give in to avoid a court case.

Oh boy oh boy..please DO take it to court Ricky....please be that stupid...please please:

"my only remedy would be to go to court, but at this point, I don't believe I want to go that route.''- Sen. Rick Santorum
