Perhaps she felt working with the administration (or at least giving the impression that she was) would increase her chances of federal assistance. But alas if that was the intent, Bush got what he wanted and the people of New Orleans are still without help.

on edit: And it turns out all along that Bush was responsible for the death and destruction that he, with the help of the corporate media, placed at her doorstep.
