43. The concept that Osama has been dead since 2001 has been pushed by Pakistan...
The question you then have to ask is: How would Pakistan benefit by claiming Osama was dead?

1)Less internal problems.

If Pakistan knowingly lied about Osama being dead and everyone in the Waziristan area of Pakistan was aware that Osama was still alive, yet kept quiet about Pakistan's lie, both sides are happy.

Pakistan has less internal problems and the Waziristan people get a pass and do as they please.

The failure: the West didn't believe them.

However, various people who never trusted george w. moron* didn't believe a thing he* said. So by faulty logic, myself included, always believed that moron* lied about the reason to go after Osama because many believed he was dead because moron* lies about everything.

2) If Osama had been dead in back in 2001, don't you think george w. moron* would have staged a massive show of false bravado by parading around with Osama's head on a pike?

No, because the war has never been about getting Osama in the first place. It's always been about securing the natural gas pipeline rights that runs though the nation.

You will see mentioned Unical involving the pipeline. This is important because Karzi was once on its board.

Again you have to ask who benefits from the never ending war.

3) if he had been dead all alone, then Obama's killing of Osama basically short circuits all of the right wings various money making schemes in Afghanistan.

Partly true. While killing Osama takes the prize out from under the right wing spin machine, it doesn't halt the war. Which now, is basically undefinable.

As long as the war continues, various mega-corporations make money.

-at this point, I can go into all sorts of various convenient theories as to why the war started, why it's perpetuated and what its final outcome may or may not be, but I don't wish to see this thread devolve any further and get sent to the dungeon. :)-
