51. why do you ask
I believe that the police officer/security guard acted appropriately. Based on the information I have available the security guard acted in self defense and was reasonably in fear of death or serious bodily injury.

Is that not the way you see it?

Do you have any remotely credible basis for thinking that this is NOT the way I see it?

If not, why would you ask me the question? I know why, but I'll let you answer.

Use that imagination, now.

If the cop had not seen the crook and his firearm in time, or had aimed badly, or had not been on the scene, what might the outcome of this story have been?
