International Inquiry into 9-11 Toronto May 25-30 - Can use your help.

I recently had a chance to sit in on a meeting of the steering committee planning the upcoming week long Citizens'Inquiry into 9/11 scheduled to take place in Toronto the last week of May.

The committee wants to publicize the event in the Greater Toronto Area and that would certainly extend into Western NY state as well, e.g Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Rochester etc. if they could find some able bodies in the area who can donate some time and effort into getting the word out. Some of the action items that are being worked on are the handing out of flyers, postering campaigns, arranging for media interviews with 9/11 Inquiry spokespeople, fund raising etc. They're even arranging for a special edition of the deception dollar (see www.deceptiondollar.com) which will prominently display the Toronto 9/11 Inquiry logo with the web site www.911inquiry.org and the dates of the Toronto events in addition to the dates for the next event in the series planned for NY City the week of Sep 12th. These deception dollars will be used as handouts along with flyers to promote the event.

Right now venues have already being booked at the University of Toronto and a local community hall, and the committee is in the process of finalizing the list of speakers. A partial list of the planned participants includes Mike Ruppert of www.fromthewilderness.com , DU's own Paul Thompson of the 9/11 timeline and www.cooperativeresearch.org fame, Michel Chossudovsky of www.globalresearch.ca , Andreas von Bulow the former German government minister who has openly questioned the 9/11 explanation offered by the US government, and Ellen Mariani the 9/11 widow bringing the RICO suit against Bush. This is only a partial list. In addition to the live presentations there will be video/film presentations during the week as well.

If you live around the GTA or Western NY and can help out by handing out flyers, fund raising, arranging contacts with local media for interviews, contacting peace and social justice groups and filling them in on the International 9/11 Inquiry movement and the events planned for the week of May 25 in Toronto etc. your help would be most welcome. One of the spokespeople for the 9/11 Inquiry steering committee is the Canadian journalist Barrie Zwicker. Barrie gained some prominence for the 9/11 skeptics movement when he became the first established journalist in Canada to go out on a limb and question the official 9/11 story. Barrie will be making some appearances on radio shows in the Toronto area in the near future to talk about the International Inquiry movement and the Toronto Inquiry event in May.

For further information please contact the Toronto steering committee at [email protected]. Donations are naturally always welcome. Please keep monitoring the web site www.911inquiry.org for updates and information on scheduling of events etc. Right now the web site is only a single page with some basic information such as a mission statement and a basic description of what the project is all about, but it is expected to be updated shortly with more detailed information about the upcoming events. See you in Toronto on May 25th.
