1. About 3 months ago we adopted an abandoned kitten born under our back porch....
We had him (Hank) neutered and got his shots. Then at Christmas we left town for a week and boarded Hank (his first night ever inside). When we picked him up he seemed just as unimpressed as he was when we left him. He was as affectionate as always and definitely hadn't lost any weight.
Good luck. I understand the guilt you're feeling well. Its hard to leave defenseless family in the care of strangers.
