It very much sounds like a lack of intimacy is the primary concern. So your inability to be sexually active analogy is pointless.

I'm not implying anything. I'm saying that when people get married there are certain assumptions ane expectations about the marriage relationship, one of them being intimacy usually partially expressed by a sexual relationship. If that expectation is not being met than counseling is in order. If counseling does not work and the marriage relationship continues to make one party miserable, than a divorce would seem a logical outcome.

Are you suggesting that someone should stay in an emotionally distant marriage regardless of the physical, mental and emotional costs to him or herself?
