tell them you would appreciate some advanced notice, at least 24 hours and preferrably leaving a message 1)on the mailbox, front door, telephone, -- whichever place is convenient for you.

That way you could think about it and respond at your leisure.

And their wanting to jump you as you pull up in YOUR OWN DRIVEWAY is very intrusive.

I'm a hermit, solitude keeps me sane, but I don't mind interacting when I am ready to and have had some time to reflect.
