It might be difficult to not drink since you seem to be in the habit of doing it on weekends. So try doing something totally different where drinking isn't an option, or many different things.
Go to a movie or two with a friend and then spend the afternoon at a coffee shop talking about it.
Get a newspaper and go to a coffee shop and sit down and read it from cover to cover, or take a book and do the same.
If you don't want to buy a book, try going to a Barnes & Noble or other bookstore and browse. This can take up hours of time!
Find a free concert going on in the community where you can just hang out in a park or something.
stay away from your drinking buddies because you won't be able to resist drinking.
Take a long leisurely 'Sunday drive'. Those were the ones where people just drove to look at the scenery or the new houses being built or to go watch the airplanes taking off at the airport or to go looking at all the Christmas decorations in the neighborhood.
Go for a long hike in a park reserve in your area. Just hang out with nature. Take a book or take a notebook to start a journal.
Write a journal to your heart's content. All about you and your private thoughts. You can keep it or just burn it (optional)
