13. There is a humane nonaerosol spray called "Scram!" that is safe to use
in areas like that. It's all natural with cayenne pepper oil in it, and it keeps wild animals and dogs and cats away from wherever you spray it. Animals don't like to go near it, and if they do actually get in it for some reason, it just makes their paws tingle a little with no harmful effects. We got it at a pet supply store a few years ago at the recommendation of our vet, and we've used it on our freshly planted garden to keep Vicki (our curious mutt) out of there. It works great! We also used it to keep rabbits from eating our squash blossoms too. :)
