4. i'll never know why some people like lawrence welk.
i remember as a teen how important the "integrity" of the "scene" was and discussion of who was a "poseur."

i can look back on that now and just see it as trying to find some kind of identity or something. a bunch of people who didn't fit in anywhere else. that was like 20 years ago though.

i'm sure some ex-hippies must blush when they recall what arlo guthrie said at woodstock: "i was rappin to the fuzz man and the new york thruway is CLOSED man, can you dig it?"

so to each their own.

i just look back on those times as actually kind of fun. not so many problems, lots of venues to take out aggression at concerts and shit like that.

but give me a high powered slayer, exploited, or g.g. show over a dead show any day.
