23. Currently they're all banned

The cats used to sleep on the bed. After we moved to our present house, one of the cats never wanted to come into the bedroom, but the other still slept on the bed. That was fine when I was unemployed for 21 months, but after I started having to get up early she became too annoying in a sleep-depriving way, so she was banned to the ground floor.

The dog is another story. During the cold winter he wanted to sleep in the bed, so we let him. Even though he is 65 pounds, he was much less troublesome than the cats - and provided warmth. The problem was, he made the bed very, very dirty in very little time. We decided to ban him after the next time we cleaned the sheets. He didn't take it well, and protested by peeing on a bookcase. Finally, a compromise was reached: he now sleeps in his own little bed right next to ours. Everyone seems happy with this arrangement.
