15. Gosh, I forget, I wish I could remember
but I think I found it accidentally, while looking for good sites. I used to hang out regularly at a very large current affairs site that's local, and got used to the give and take, arguing and all that, about the issues and every possible side of them. But, then our nation took it's radically ugly turn, and some of the folks on that board took it too. When they argued, viciously, about the torture issue when it first came out, I about gave up. Later now it's been shown to be real, and very bad. But at the time, all they wanted to say was "not enough proof". It was enough for ME to be very concerned, but only enough for them to get angry at me for it. Then, when the story came out in February about "broken heart syndrome" being real, and me already having experienced it, I figured it was time to leave there for good. Can only take so much heartbreak. And those people sure did break my heart. I was on there for years, and had quite a bit of familiarity with a lot of the posters, but it was a hurtful place when the tone changed.

I wish I could remember how I found this site. I think I found it myself, just looking around for forums, somewhere I could talk to people, with a "sanity filter" as I think of it here. Repubs not welcome, neocon's not praised, lies discussed as lies. I don't think this site was given to me, I don't think. Dang I just can't remember. I want to say it must have been a link off another site that I followed. I think. I just can't remember. It's an ongoing problem, as I recall, the second problem of old age ;)
