9. May I join in on this
I had this same exact thought coming home from work. I am the happiest I have ever been in my entire life right now. :7

I took the bus to and from work for the first time today. I recently moved to a new office building which is much closer to the bus routes.

I stopped off at a neighborhood pub for supper, which was a Thai burger and fries and a pint of Finnegan's Irish Amber ale. After supper, I popped my iPod on shuffle and walked the two blocks home, to my comfortable apartment. It was a perfect October day-- partly sunny, in the 50s, the air crisp and clear. Great weather for a walk.

In a few minutes, I expect a call from my girlfriend, whom I visited last weekend (a fellow DUer, btw). We've only been together a couple months, but things are going swimmingly well. We get along great and have a lot of stuff in common. Although we're 1,000 miles apart, we talk all the time and are thinking long-term about our relationship.

And to think that only five months ago I was in the depression ward, thinking my life was over.

Thanks so much for starting this thread. It's great to see that, despite how rotten so much of the world is, other people can find their bliss.

:pals:
