Quite a chronicle. We had a similar experience with our longhair. The summer we moved into our new house we had a ten year rain and water in the basement. Had to move all the furniture and pull up the carpets and put box fans around to dry things out. One of the grills fell off the back of one of the box fans.

We woke up at 5:00 the next morning to a thump and the most pathetic mewl I've ever heard. Ran downstairs to find Tilly motionless in a puddle. Feared the worst until she woke up really pissed.

davsand wrapped her up in a towel and drove her to the vet. She'd busted her upper jaw, and lost both her upper incisors, but she pulled through. Not quite as feisty as before, though...
