As for morality, I was talking to my boyfriend last night about this fantasy I had earlier in the day about beating the crap out of this stripper that stole his cell phone at his bachelor party and was holding it hostage. I said that while it was a fulfilling fantasy, in real life I don't believe in being violent toward anyone unless it's the only way to stop them from harming myself or someone else. And I told him that I didn't think this was the word of god, or written in stone, or a universal truth, or something that could be proven to be correct, but rather it was just my notion. But being just a notion is all the more reason to live by it, for being just a notion, living by it is the only way to give it real power and meaning.
